Taken from files written by an Imperial Intelligence field agent. Each entry is encrypted twice: The first layer containing personal after-action reports and planning documents in Basic, the second containing personal commentary and annotation in an Ac'siel Shallow Districts dialect of Cheunh.

==LOG START==

▶ Established contact with local operative Jheeg (see PROFILES). Identity received: The Red Blade (see PROFILES). Direct access to Nem'ro and advisers likely.

Complication encountered: Necessary items were stolen upon arrival at Jiguuna Port by local gang members. Packages secured and witnesses eliminated.

What a mess. Intelligence work is often concerned with the cleaning up of other's mistakes, however. This situation is neither uncommon nor dire. Especially because this doesn't break my new character: a pirate could absolutely be expected to deal harshly and directly with those who steal from them.

Still. My first blood drawn in Imperial field work: A bunch of local low-lifes stealing imports for resale. Not an auspicious start. But if it remains this simple, I should be happy for it.

Reestablished contact with handler, received further instructions: Approach Nem'ro's inner circle. Distribute gifts/bribes, begin identifying targets to influence.

Jheeg apparently used an insufficiently secured terminal. I sincerely hope I will not have to interact with him much further. I have my new orders, and I'll be entering the palace soon.

===PROFILES===

Name/Alias: Jheeg ([d͡ʒʱiːg])
> Species: Arcona
> Sex: Unknown
> Gender: Masculine
> Height: ~170 cm
> Skin color: #752
> Eye color: #541
> Hair color: N/A
> Identifying features: Central scalp ridges have slight rightward bias. Tendency to seek vocal confirmation/approval, especially when nervous.
> Status: Imperial clandestine asset in Jiguuna: espionage and dissemination.

Jheeg's stated motivation is money, which is always vulnerable to compromise. Given his reflexive approval-seeking, it seems likely he would flip if cornered. I would be skeptical of whether this behavior was true to his core nature, but the repeated security oversights make it moot. The outcome is that his work cannot be relied upon, whether by deliberate malice or minor incompetence. This will need to be accounted for as the operation progresses.

One other note: Common table salt is an addictive intoxicant to Arcona. I don't know how to hide tastes from them, but it could make for a cheap, non-violent way to render him incapacitated as necessary.

Name/Alias: Red Blade ([ɹɛd bleɪd])
> Species: Unknown
> Sex: Unknown
> Gender: Unknown
> Height: Unknown
> Skin color: Unknown
> Eye color: Unknown
> Hair color: Unknown
> Identifying features: Unknown. Rich, rarely seen.
> Status: Presently out of contact in Outer Rim on business.

I don't like having to take the identity of an unknown actor like this. Chiss are memorable in this region. If pressed on the subject, either cosmetic surgery or acting as an empowered representative of the Red Blade are two potential routes to take.

I have next to no details on the Red Blade at all. They are not sufficiently active in Ascendancy space to recognize the name or any Cheunh equivalent thereof. So, they have likely spent most of their active career in alien space. If I am to be them, I need to adjust for this. (see WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS)

===WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS===

Assemble consistent traits for Red Blade identity.

Most Humans and members of other chiss-like species will see me as masculine. Therefore the Red Blade will be male and refer to himself as such.

If the Red Blade is now chiss, then they must have been exiled from the Ascendancy. Where should they be originally from? Copero, Massos, Naporar and Celwis are all possibilities, given their more outward-facing roles. Massos has particular promise, given the instability of House Paiiri.

Coming up with a name is probably not truly necessary, but I'll leave Paiiri'mar'ayeno on reserve for this identity.

His demeanor will be substantially deviant. Human-like would be the easiest and most logical option. While the Hutts have consolidated the plurality of illegally-gained wealth, Humans are the most numerous species in the field. And as a practicality, my training focused the most on reading and imitating human behavior. I am still comfortable with neither, but so long as I am competent at it, then it should be done.

Take the base of an emotionally extravagant Cousin of a dysfunctional House, layer it over with Human quirks that they adopted due to the license they provide to behave inappropriately. A "friendly" demeanor, but capable of calculated violence without qualm.

I did not require the reminder Keeper gave me: An Imperial accent is not appropriate for this identity. Unfortunately, this is a limit of my present capability. My skills in imitating Basic accents are not suited to impersonation, Central Kaasian accent excepted. A Corellian Human accent is an acceptable base to start from. While I am deeply aware my command of it is not perfect, it does not need to be. The Red Blade, exiled chiss, has not settled in any given region, nor maintained a consistent crew. They have absorbed the approximation of a major Basic accent in the process.

▶ Remain alert for any inconsistencies in groundwork laid by Jheeg.

▶ Local turf wars may extend to clandestine violence within the palace. Watch for concealed weapons and gang signs.

▶ Nem'ro and others will be monitoring palace guests. Perform full security sweep of guest quarters.
